About Mount Princeton Hot Springs
General:
Mount Princeton Hot Springs is one of the nicest hot mineral springs in Colorado. The resort is in a quiet part of Colorado near Buena Vista and is a necessary stop if you are in the area. These Colorado hot springs are located just off 285 South about about 45 minutes from Monarch Mountain.
Facility:
There are two main pools both filled with hot mineral water. One pool is a bit cooler (still warm) and suitable for swimming. The other mineral pool at Mt. Princeton is hot enough to sooth your muscles, but cool enough to hang out for an extended period of time.
The main draw at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs is the creek. There are 23 or so pools built up along the side of the creek each
filled with hot mineral water. You really feel like you are in the wilderness while soaking in these creeks with cold water rushing by. All the pools vary in temperature, which you can affect by moving around the rock walls.
There are indoor locker room facilities, with towel and lock rentals. There is also lodging at the resort, with a restaurant and general store.
