Weekend Freshies at Steamboat!

Steamboat is known for it's deep powder stashes and expansive tree skiing. This weekend Steamboat got around 15 inches, adding to an already deep base thanks to the previous weekend. It was fun skiing and snowboarding all around, with nothing but smiles.

January Skiing at Vail

Vail is the largest resort in the state, at 5,289 acres. Epic Local Pass holders get 10 days to use between Vail and Beaver Creek. Yesterday we skied Beaver Creek, and today Vail. The mountain was nearly fully open, with about 5,000 acres.

Arapahoe Basin was the last resort to close in Colorado, staying open until the Fourth of July. They managed to groom a few runs from top to bottom, allowing a good amount of veritical for the middle of Summer.

Skiing in June? You bet. There's warm weather, bathing suits, beer, and a giant, ice-cold pond for those daring enough make the dash across. This past weekend was a perfect opportunity to get some late season turns in. There wasn't a single cloud in the sky at A Basin yesterday. Cherry Creek Reservoir is a large dam and lake, located near I-25 and I-225. It is a public park that is open year round. You can go fishing for several different types of fish at Cherry Creek Reservoir.

Fishing in Evergreen, Colorado - 3/20/2011

Evergreen is a beautiful mountain town located about 40 minutes from Denver. There is a large dammed lake in the middle of town right next to Evergreen Golf Course. The fishing this past weekend was good and we caught two trout. There is a hiking trail that goes around the entire dam in Evergreen. You can fish all around the lake or directly into the dam.
