Located outside Glenwood Springs, CO, South Canyon Hot Springs is a remote hike-to hot springs pool in Colorado. This private Colorado hot springs spot is only 5 miles from the famed and giant Glenwood Hot Springs Pool.
The hike is only about an 1/8 mile from where you park your car. See the Google map on the right for directions.
Facility:
There is one main hot springs pool at South Canyon Hot Springs, varying in size depending on environmental conditions. The pool ranges in depth, with an average of about 2.5 feet. There are also a few chairs set up for comfort.
This hot springs pool can appear murky and underdeveloped, but it is soothing all the same. The pool is located on a hillside and offer splendid views of the surround Rocky Mountains and the South Canyon Creek Valley.
Atmosphere:
Secluded hot springs. Very primitive feel. Swimsuits optional. Mostly only known by locals. Can be a shady spot with weird birds frequenting. Bring a flash light at night.
