Kendall Mountain is a family-friendly ski hill located in Silverton, Colorado. It is quite small and offers beginners and intermediates a great place to play.
Terrain:
Beginners will find a few easy slopes to practice their form, without the hassle of expert skiers and snowboarders whizzing by.
Village:
Silverton is an old mining town, located deep in the San Juan Mountains. There are plenty of places to stay and eat while in Silverton.
Some of the shops in town are seasonal and are not open in the winter. In this part of Colorado, you will get the feeling you are in the middle of nowhere.
Reasons to Go:
You are in Silverton and the main Silverton Mountain is either closed or too gnarly; Cheap lift tickets.
